This was my son's first daycare and I found it satisfactory. He seems to be happy there, which is the important thing. I have to agree with the turnover issue, and the staff there, while very kind and caring, do seem young and at times inexperienced. They are all ECE educated and appear to follow the principles taught to them, but sometimes I think the common sense does not prevail. I also find the facility quite cramped, as my son is in the downstairs room. There is a lot of focus on maintaining ratios and counting kids, and at that can give an impersonal feel. I also agree with the comment that there is not a lot of attention at drop off time. I would also like better communication with parents and more one-on-one interaction. The fee is higher than most other licensed group daycares and I don't think I'm getting more for my money. We are moving our son to a different centre that is $300 cheaper, pays their staff better (and therefore has less turnover), has a larger floorplan, and greenspace.
